An expanding upmarket pizza chain has opened its second Staffordshire branch. Caprinos has finally welcomed its first diners to its new Stafford restaurant following a two-month renovation.
The new business – opened in what used to be The Fryer fish and chip shop in Foregate Street – has created around 12 jobs.
They offer a wide range of pizza from a nine-inch to a huge 18-inch – one of the biggest in town.
There is also a selection of side orders such as garlic pizza bread, curly fries, chicken strips and wings, mozzarella sticks and stuffed mushrooms.
And if you have a sweet tooth, they sell desserts like chocolate fudge cake and black forest gateau as well as Ben and Jerry’s ice cream and even a chocolate pizza.
Owner Shehzad Rafique launched Caprinos in Cross Heath last year and has decided now is the right time to open a second franchise.
The 37-year-old father-of-one said: “I think the location is great, it covers both commercial and residential.
“It’s on a main road and close to the town centre meaning we can deliver to quite a lot of areas. The people of Stafford are very friendly too and that counts for a lot as well.
“Cross Heath was the first branch in the Midlands and it was such a nice start that it forced us to think of opening more. We didn’t want to be too close to my other venue so chose the well-known town of Stafford.
“Regarding the renovation everything is new, from the floor to the ceiling we started from scratch. We have great equipment and a top notch oven and all of our ingredients are fresh.”
To celebrate their launch, Caprinos away free nine-inch pizzas yesterday.
And told they are offering 50 per cent off all orders for both delivery and collection and they always offer 10 per cent off on all orders made on their website.
Caprinos Pizza Stafford is open Monday to Sunday, 11am to 11pm.
