A popular burger restaurant is opening its doors for Hull’s homeless on Christmas Day, and your donations are needed. Dope Burger in Witham will be opening from 10am to noon on Christmas Day in order to feed the homeless in Hull – but there are also plans to hand out essential items such as sanitary products, underwear and warm clothing.

Oliver Johnson, owner of the franchise, said: “We are looking for sanitary products, socks, underwear, warm clothes, chocolates and anything that would be an appropriate gift for Hull’s homeless.

“We’re asking anyone who has donations or small gifts they think may be useful to drop them off at our Witham store any time before Christmas Eve.”
