As previously reported, plans by the Lincolnshire Co-op were given the go ahead by the City of Lincoln Council towards the end of 2018 to change the use of the first floor of the building at 31 Sincil Street to create a gym – énergie Lincoln City.
The entrance to the 7,304 square foot unit is between Lakeland and Seasalt. An exact opening date is not yet known but the gym is aiming to open in June.
Lee Kilby is the owner of énergie Lincoln City, alongside his wife Tamsin. He told The Lincolnitethat they got involved with énergie due to the franchise’s family and community orientated feel.
He said: “When the property in the Cornhill became available it ticked a lot of boxes. We are buzzing and raring to go and want to get in there and get the members in.
“énergie are the top fitness franchise in the UK and a company with a lot of expertise in the industry growing into the north of England. We will be offering something different to other gyms in the city centre at a price that is hard to beat.”
A membership pre-sale is currently underway at a discounted price.
The gym doesn’t do lengthy contracts and keeps its membership prices low, starting from £19.99 per month for the first 200 members.
WOW membership is available for £24.99 including access to The Yard. The Yard is an exclusive énergie workout playground. Click here to join énergie Fitness Lincoln City online.
énergie Lincoln City will open 6am-10pm Monday-Friday and 8am-8pm Saturday-Sunday.
A team of fully qualified instructors and personal trainers will deliver group training sessions and also provide a one-to-one service.
It will house state-of-the-art fitness equipment, innovative training zones including for boxing, extensive free weights and over 30 classes a week.
Energie Fitness already has a gym open in Lincoln which is located on Flavian Road.
