Wrapchic, a new Indian burrito fast food franchise in Redditch, has been launched after funding was secured from HSBC UK.
MKC Enterprise, which is owned by Gitesh Adeshara, Tripti Rao and Komal Patel, has opened its first Wrapchic franchise in the town and second overall.
The partners, who successfully opened their first Wrapchic in December 2018 at Resorts World Birmingham, have drawn on a five-figure finance facility to completely transform each premises into fully-equipped restaurants.
In total, 17 full and part-time jobs have been created – ten in Redditch and seven in Resorts World, Birmingham.
The partners hope to expand their franchising business by opening three new Wrapchic restaurants in the Midlands over the next two years.
Franchise operational director Adesharahas said: “The food scene in Birmingham and its surrounding areas is booming.
“Consumers continue to seek out the very best food and beverage outlets in the midlands, whether it’s for a ‘grab and go’ meal or to sit down and enjoy a more formal dining experience.
“We’re excited about the future of our franchising business – Wrapchic has a great business model and thanks to the support from my HSBC UK Relationship Manager, Erum Farooq, we can now start to look forward and develop our portfolio of Wrapchic franchises.”
Mark Lupton, area director for business banking Birmingham, HSBC UK, added: “The partners at MKC Enterprise have shown high-levels of entrepreneurship to successfully open two Wrapchic franchise stores in one month.
“There is huge demand in the Midlands for outstanding food and HSBC UK was happy to support them on their new journey. We look forward to working with them as they expand the business into new regions.”
