After I attended the open day, I knew that ChipsAway, which is owned by Franchise Brands plc, would be a great company to invest into, and far more professional than other franchises I’d looked at. I wanted to join a franchise rather than starting on my own because of the support. When I met the ChipsAway team, I knew that it was the right decision. They provide you with IMI accredited technical support and training from beginner level, general business support for those who have never been self-employed, and leads from day one to give you a head start.

I was involved in an industry which wasn’t very exciting. Even though I’d become a regional director, I didn’t have any real sense of job satisfaction. And it had been fun to start off with, travelling the UK and into Europe. But I wasn’t having any positive or lasting impact on anyone. I had always wanted to run my own business. By the time I reached directorship, I was ready to do my own thing. I knew I didn’t have the fortitude to take the risk alone. I spoke with a guy used to work with me in car rentals – he’d opened a Right at Home franchise a few years previously. As he talked so passionately about his business, I could see he was incredibly satisfied in a way I wasn’t. I knew franchising with Right at Home was the push I needed to take a leap of faith; using their support as security.

I used to work in the travel industry and my husband in banking but we wanted to run our own business and were particularly interested in working in the care industry. Driving Miss Daisy provides us with the opportunity to make a difference in the community. Our clients become friends and often we work with families too, all of which makes our working day rewarding and enjoyable!

What I like about the business is that we are marketing consultants helping and advising local businesses with their marketing campaigns. Talking about the content of their leaflets, what they are trying to achieve. We get really stuck in with their businesses and lots of Swansea people have become friends because of the way we help them. The business is accelerated by being part of the network and without Jeff Frankling’s help and knowledge we would have suffered a lot of pitfalls.

The Diamond Home Support Franchise is an excellent opportunity to build a solid local business which is in high demand. If you follow the processes laid out in the manuals, watch the training videos and employ the recommended marketing and recruitment processes, you can’t really go wrong. The support from Head Office is excellent and I can thoroughly recommend Diamond Home Support to anyone who is looking to build a long term business with excellent residual income.

When you first think about leaving the security of employment to start your own business, a big question is whether there will be enough work for you to pay the mortgage and cover the bills. Investing in a franchise was a way of me changing my career without having to lose earnings and having a proven business model to follow. I’ve received excellent support from ChipsAway, not only from the Head Office team and my business mentor (another franchisee), but also from neighbouring franchisees.

To all at Right at Home Head Office, We wanted to say a big thank you for the help, support, training and advice you gave us during our induction. We came away with increased energy and excitement to go out and start building our reputation of being the best provider of premium home care in our area – the wealth of knowledge you gave us will help kickstart and build that Right reputation over the coming months as we continue our journey. The passion that everyone has, not just those in Head Office but all the other franchisees too (new and old) is a real testament for what RaH stands for. The desire to get it Right, through living the RaH values, emanates from everyone. Not that we had any doubts but it just reaffirms that we have definitely chosen the right business to take us to the next chapter in our lives – to give something back in the best way we can and to make a positive difference every day. Thanks to you all, you’re an amazing team – and we feel privileged to be part of it!

I wanted a franchise in a completely different sector to the one I knew after a career in the wholesale food and drinks market. My search led me to MBE which impressed me greatly with its wide range and variety of customer services.

If you don\'t think carpet and upholstery cleaning is for you, welcome to my world 15 years ago! After a career in finance and looking for a change I\'d never even considered this industry until I saw an advert for an opportunity to become part of the Cleaning Doctor franchise network and had a conversation with William Little. Well, I don\'t think I have ever spoken to someone so passionate and protective of his brand, and when I met him face to face, the passion was even more evident. He explained to me how Cleaning Doctor is different to most other carpet and upholstery cleaning franchises out there... the training and support you receive (which is outstanding and that\'s possibly understating it a little), the market leading equipment and solutions you use which enables you to give the best ever clean a customer will see (which is continually being reviewed, updated, refined), the additional training (courses run by world leaders in their field), the marketing support (which is second to none). In short, William Little, if he allows you to purchase one of his franchises, will want you to succeed - and he will do everything he can to make sure you do. The opprtunities are endless - you can run a single operator business, or very easily (with all the marketing tools and support you get) turn the franchise into a multi van, multi employee operation, and Willie and the team will support you, encourage you and help you all the way. If you do nothing else, have a chat with Willie - it could be the best conversation you maybr never thought you\'d have!

Going down the franchise route was not a conscious decision. We both bought into the idea of the services and the difference we could make to our community whilst making some money. Building a business has been really interesting and we have learnt LOADS! It has been a journey which we would not have experienced if we hadn’t gone into franchising.

If you want to start working for yourself, it’s paramount to have a strong supporting network who have loads of experience and expertise in that area. ChipsAway provides excellent support, not only from head office staff but from other franchisees who have walked the same road as you. The marketing support is also fantastic. You get all the help you need so that you can feel confident, instead of the vulnerability and fear which comes with starting a business alone.

The TWS franchise model appealed as there were instant credit available with suppliers, the best equipment available, access to web generated enquiries and the model and process used was exactly what I was looking for.

I love the contact with the adults attending class and their children and also within the nurseries. I am passionate about the benefits music and movement can have on young children. I previously worked in sales in the male dominated building industry and managed 13 people. I thought if I could look after a group of men – a class of children would be plan sailing!!!

I started my franchise in July 2014. I love the flexibility in the business in that you have so many things to offer the client including design and print and delivery or the cooperative mailer and you can make money from all these things. I started the business from home but quite quickly we decided to move into commercial premises. It’s a very lively network of franchisees and I would certainly recommend it to anyone considering a franchise.
