The transport and logistics recruitment chain has announced a record breaking year for turnover with its franchise network helping to deliver £108.5m turnover for the 12 months to the end of March 2018.
This represents a turnover increase of £8m, or 8%, on the previous 12 months to the end of March 2017.
With 92 franchised offices across the UK, the average level of annual turnover at a Driver Hire franchise is now £1.2m – this is three times the national average figure published in the 2015 Natwest bfa survey – while average net profit for its franchisees sits at an impressive £140,000.
Outside of the average figures, 13 Driver Hire franchisees have hit turnover in excess of £2m.
Cementing a seventh consecutive year of growth for the brand and its fifth record turnover year in succession, Driver Hire chief executive Chris Chidley has commented that the success achieved by its franchisees is due to them “not only attracting new customers but doing more business with existing ones”.
Now in its 34th year of trading, Driver Hire the UK’s largest specialist supplier of staff to the road transport and logistics industry. Its franchisees provide temporary and permanent drivers and other logistics staff to local and national organisations in both the public and private sectors.
Driver Hire has been recognised as a bfa ‘Franchisor of the Year’ finalist in 12 of the last 13 years and has won the award four times.
The chain offers franchise packages starting from £32,000 and has territories available across the UK including Northern Ireland.
